Candlelight Meditation

Is it for me?

These 90-minute meditation sessions have been designed for graduates of our introductory-level mindfulness courses: Mindfulness Foundation, MBCT and MBSR. However, anyone is welcome to attend, whether you are a newcomer to meditation, or looking for a relaxing refresher evening.

Why take a Candlelight meditation session with us?

It can be challenging to maintain the motivation for a home meditation practice over time, and some people prefer to practice in a group setting.

Held on Thursday evenings, these friendly 90-minute sessions (booked as a one-off rather than a course) are intended as a refresher.

Sessions will include longer periods of unguided practice, small group discussions, poetry readings and sometimes a sprinkling of theory.

In keeping with Yoga at the Mill's philosophy for meditation teaching, we will give plenty of different options for posture, and there will be no religious undertones whatsoever (our meditation teaching is in the secular mindfulness tradition).

These graduate evenings will be lightly themed, and taught in an accessible, jargon-free way!

Each session is booked separately. Advanced booking is required, as there are a maximum of ten places for each session. No need to bring anything with you - mats, blankets and bolsters for comfortable sitting are all provided!
