Restorative Yoga: monthly Rest & Relax workshops, plus new Friday morning weekly class
Is it for me?Are you seeking an extremely gentle approach to yoga, and some 'me-time' to pause, relax and restore? If so, these lovely sessions may be the ticket. Our monthly Rest & Relax workshops combines super-gentle Restorative Yoga with breathwork and meditation to help balance your nervous system, sleep better and unwind. From June 2018, our brand new Restorative Yoga classes on Friday mornings, 11am-12.15pm (click here), will take a similar approach, with the added benefit of a weekly practice. Both sessions are led by Sarah Nunn, a sensitive, intuitive teacher who is also a highly trained Yoga Therapist.
Why take a Restorative Yoga session with us?
The structure of each session will depend on the any theme the individual teacher has chosen and the participants in the class. There may be a little gentle mindful movement to start with.
Restorative Yoga postures are held for far longer than traditional active postures - which is possible because they are so gentle, and work with the connective tissue rather than the muscles. These long-held postures give the mind/body network time to absorb the calming, supportive benefits of each pose.
