Yoga for Anxiety & Stress

Is it for me?

Stress is a natural part of life. However, our health and wellbeing can quickly become compromised if our background levels of stress are constantly high, and we no longer have the capacity to move away from our in-built 'fight or flight' response. Our pioneering and popular three-week Yoga for Anxiety and Stress courses have been designed for anyone looking to feel calmer in everyday life. Whilst we will enjoy some gentle physical movement, there will also be plenty of opportunity for informal discussion, and to practice some re-balancing breath-work, meditation and relaxation. We assume no previous knowledge or experience of yoga, the only requirement for these courses is to be able to get on and off the floor without difficulty. It is fine to be taking medication, but the course is not suitable if you are currently experiencing high levels of anxiety.

Why take a Yoga for Anxiety and Stress course with us?

Are you looking for a supportive small group class specifically tailored to tackle stress and anxiety, whether or not you have any previous experience of yoga?

Yoga students in Prayer Position
We are immensely proud to be offering these three-week Yoga for Anxiety and Stress courses in the safe, quiet sanctuary of our studio in Moulsham Mill.

The courses are sensitively and expertly taught by experienced Yoga Therapist, Daniel Groom, who has personal experience of anxiety.

Each two-hour session will be an accessible mix of yoga and meditation practice, including yoga nidra (a powerful form of lying down guided relaxation), some theory about anxiety and the opportunity for support from fellow members of the group.

We aim to create an atmosphere that is relaxed, non-pressured and suitable for complete yoga beginners along with those who have an established practice.

Previous participants have rated these courses highly, and we have been humbled to hear how the tools they have learnt have often helped them significantly reduce stress levels, allowing them to sleep better and feel better.
