Yoga and Mindfulness class terms and conditions
Terms and Conditions
These terms only apply to our yoga and/or mindfulness classes, courses and workshops.
Please note: once booked, it is unfortunately not possible to refund or transfer classes, workshops or day retreats. Please see clause 2 below.
1. Contact
Your contract is with Satvada Ltd, company number 5727334 registered offices at Exchange House, St Cross Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 5BZ, referred to as “Yoga at the mill”, “YATM”, “we”, "our" or “us” in this contract. A binding contract is only entered into when payment for class has been received and confirmed by us.
2. Important: class structure and payment
All classes organised by us are structured as either courses or workshops. Starting on a pre-defined date and operating for one or more consecutive weeks they are subject to and bound by the following terms:
2.1 Courses organised by us must be paid for in full and in advance of the start date. We accept payment via the following: Direct Debit, PayPal, BACs or if agreed prior to payment, cash or cheque. If you opt for direct debit, you will be entering a rolling contract. Terms of payment, unless we advise you otherwise, will be on 6 week basis. Invoices are sent 2 weeks before the start of the course and payment initiated 1 week before the start of the course.
2.2 Payments for missed sessions are non-refundable or transferable. It is sometimes possible to attend an alternative class. However, this is subject to availability and not guaranteed. Furthermore they are subject to the following terms:
2.2.1 The substitution of classes are allowed subject to availability and at our discretion. Workshops (including yoga nidra sessions and Rest & Relax workshops) are not included in the possibilities to make up classes.
2.2.2 Students who pay by Direct Debit may substitute up to two sessions per block, subject to availability.
2.2.3 Students who pay via paypal, credit / debit cards, cash or cheque may substitute up to one session per block, subject to availability.
2.2.4 A missed class may only be substituted with an alternative class if we are notified by email 48 hours in advance of your usual class. Classes must be like for like, equivalent or less than the value you have paid. In the event that the substitute class if of lesser value, no refund is possible. The date of any substitute class must be on or before the last date in your current block.
2.3 The following cancellation policies apply:
2.3.1 All classes, courses and workshops are non-refundable and non-transferable.
2.3.2 The following additional conditions and cancellations policies apply to direct debit payments
2.3.2.1 1 full block advance notice is required for any cancellation or direct debit payments. If you terminate your direct debit without giving due notice, you will be billed for the outstanding amount. If you provide notice part of the way through a block, the notice period will commence at the start of the next block. A block is typically 6 weeks or 4 weeks, but may be subject to variat
2.4 Although we make every effort to promote and fill our courses, we reserve the right to cancel any course if there are fewer than 4 attendees booked onto it. If you book on to a course, that is subsequently cancelled by us, we will endeavour to find a suitable alternative, or a refund will be provided.
2.5 A direct debit may be paused for up to 1 class block (usually a 6 week period). 6 weeks notice is required for all pause requests. An admin fee of £25.00 + VAT will be charged for pausing of membership
2.6 Upon initial membership signup, the following fees will be levied:
2.6.1 New members £0.00 + VAT2.6.2 Members' re-joining fee: £25.00 + VAT.
Note: these conditions only apply to classes organised by us. For payment conditions associated to classes organised by third-party teachers, please consult the respective teacher.
3. Information regarding the class
Whilst we make every effort to ensure that the information in our website and elsewhere is as accurate as possible, we reserve the right to make changes to the website and elsewhere and any information they contain. You will be informed of any material changes before booking. We are only responsible for information contained within our own publications and websites. We are specifically not responsible for third party information contained in any other website.
Furthermore we are not responsible for information regarding classes organised by third-party teachers.
4. Prices
All prices advertised or quoted are per person in pounds sterling unless otherwise shown and are subject to change, up or down, until the booking is concluded.
5. Exclusion of liabilities
We take care to provide you quality yoga and meditation classes, by suitably qualified teachers.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in good health before commencing a yoga course, and seek medical advice if you are concerned.
You understand that our teachers are not medically trained and so not qualified to give medical advice. Therefore, any advice given should be qualified by a medical practitioner.
6. Complaints
If you have any complaints about your class, please contact us as soon as possible.
7. Jurisdiction
This contract is governed by English Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
8. Data Protection Policy
In order for us to process your booking we need to store and record your information, including data as supplied. For further information, refer to our privacy policy.
9. Cookie Policy
