Our approach

Our Mindful Yoga Flow classes are similar to Vinyasa Flow in that we are linking movement with breath in fluid sequences.

However, there is more emphasis on awareness (mindfulness) and more time at the start and end of the class to check in with ourselves. Also: the speed at which we move is often slower than Vinyasa Flow classes.

Mindful Yoga Flow sessions may suit beginners in reasonably good health looking for a class integrating flowing postures with some mindfulness.

These classes may also suit those who have been taking a beginner’s yoga class for a while and who are looking for more challenge, without the speed and agility demanded by Vinyasa Flow.

“The nature of yoga is to shine the light of awareness into the darkest corners of the body.” - Jason Crandell

Class structure:

Each class incorporates Asana (postures), Mindfulness, Relaxation and Breathwork. Typically we’ll enjoy a lying down Relaxation and Mindfulness at the start and end of the class, giving your whole mind/body network time to settle and rest.

My Saturday morning class is my sanctuary; time for me - essential when I’m combining a busy week of full time work, London commuting and family life. The teachers are excellent - encouraging and knowledgeable. The environment provides instant Karma as I hear the class gathering outside ready for another period of yoga, meditation and wellbeing.
