NEW live streamed Wednesday class: meditation & relaxation

Our brand new autumn / winter live streamed drop-in class is a chance for some mid-week rest and relaxation. In this floor-based class we will settle into a mix of super-calming breathing practices, very gentle mindful movement, soft restorative yoga postures and guided relaxation.

Usually led by Lucia this will initially run as a trial class across some Wednesday evenings (see right-hand box for autumn dates) and therefore will run as a drop-in only format (£9), outside the scope of membership.

It may suit you if you would like to:

  • de-stess and rest at home for some mini winter hibernation!

  • experience different meditation and relaxation practices

  • explore the benefits - and important practice of - interoception: tuning into the body’s ‘felt sense’; its signals and sensations

  • nurture mind/body wellbeing in a way that is extremely gentle

  • find some relief from over-thinking and stress

Being 'mindful’ means being gently present to our experience as it happens, with kindness and interest, rather than being overly caught up in thoughts and feelings (being in our heads).

The benefits of a regular meditation practice are well documented and are included in NHS guidelines as a powerful way to look after our mental and emotional wellbeing (click here for more).

Lucia is a highly experienced mindfulness and gentle yoga teacher and is also qualified to deliver yoga nidra, a form of guided relaxation. Her meditation-based trainings include with charity Breathworks, somatic yoga teacher Charlotte Watts and Bangor University at postgraduate level.

She loves exploring these powerful, soft practices and the way they can fit together to form a complete mind / body re-set and tonic to the stresses, speed and distractions of modern life. Lucia is also training to become a Person Centred counsellor.
